About the Auction

The McBain Rural Agricultural School Foundation (MRASF) continues to look for ways to raise funds for scholarships for McBain High School seniors. Donations are needed to continue as well as increase the level of support the Foundation provides.

Each spring the MRASF holds an in-person auction for the purpose of raising funds for scholarships for McBain High School graduating seniors. The first auction was held in 2015. Each year approximately $20,000 – $25,000 is raised.  Money is raised through cash donations and auction items.

The 2023 auction netted $22,017.81 in auction items and cash donations. Thank you to the McBain community for their continued support.

Separate from the annual auction, donations can be made at any time. For donations of $1,000 or more, a scholarship can be established in the name of the donor. These donations can be one of the following types:

• Perpetuity (the fund continues forever-scholarships are awarded only from the fund growth)
• Pass through (amount of scholarship is designated for each year)
• Annual or one-time

The MRASF is a 501(c)(3) organization.  All MRASF Funds are invested and held in an account with The Vanguard Group, Inc.
