McBain Rural Agricultural School Foundation Auction

About the Auction

The McBain Rural Agricultural School Foundation (MRASF) continues to look for ways to raise funds for scholarships for McBain High School seniors. Donations are needed to continue as well as increase the level of support the Foundation provides.

Each spring the MRASF holds an in-person auction for the purpose of raising funds for scholarships for McBain High School graduating seniors. The first auction was held in 2015. Each year approximately $20,000 – $25,000 is raised.  Money is raised through cash donations and auction items.

At this year’s annual auction, held on April 19, 2025, the MRASF raised $30,563.17, which will be used to provide scholarships to McBain students. The Board would like to thank the businesses as well as community members who donated items for the auction, all those in the community who attended the auction in support of our efforts to provide scholarships to McBain students and lastly to the staff & students of MHS who ensured a wonderful event with elements showcasing student talents and in a comfortable atmosphere in the auditorium.

On May 22, at Honors Night, the MRASF provided 56 scholarships totaling $136,800 for the Class of 2025. This is the highest number of scholarships the foundation has ever provided. The recipients were selected by a committee consisting of the high school counselor and high school teachers who are familiar with each of the applicants. To date, the Foundation has awarded 519 scholarships for a total of $1,382,900 to McBain seniors since 2003.

In an effort to increase awareness of the Foundation, we have created social media pages on LinkedIn and Facebook. Please follow, like and share! The foundation is always looking for new donors.
